LOCAL dance and musical outfit, Antivirus Crew, dropped their debut musical video titled Pokello Dance.
With more than 2 000 views on YouTube in its first two days, the video is the best so far released this year.
Pokello Dance has been designed to celebrate being Zimbabwean and to appreciate Pokello Nare’s efforts in the Big Brother Africa: The Game reality show.
The colourful video has all that defines a party song — great setting, good looking women and champagne.
The video is evidence of good work from both the group and the director Andy Cutta with great editing skills.
However, the audio lacks originality as vocals sound West African on a Zimbabwean song which is meant to celebrate being Zimbabwean.
Maybe it is because Pokello is dating Ghanaian Elikem Kumordzie, that’s why the crew decided on West African sound.
Since it’s the award-winning dance group’s first video, we wait and see if their future projects will sound West African like the first.
