JOHANNESBURG — Yookos, a leading social networking site in partnership with Econet Wireless, has launched an innovative project called “Zero Rating” which allows users to access the social networking platform for free anywhere in Zimbabwe.

Yookos is a leading social networking site that offers its members the ability to connect with their friends online and share exciting content.

In a statement by Yookos,recently, Yookos, chief executive officer Tomisin Fashina said Zero Rating was launched in close partnership with Econet and this innovative project allows users to access the social networking platform for free and for however long they decide to be online.

Fashina said this service applies to all the network’s subscribers, either on pre or post-paid accounts.

“Zimbabwe represents one of our key markets in Africa and by partnering with Econet Wireless in launching this initiative, we are demonstrating our commitment to ensuring that our users within the country get to enjoy the immense opportunities that our service yields in their day to day lives,” Yookos, chief executive officer Tomisin Fashina said.

Fashina said this development allows Yookos, users derive more value by socialising more, at no cost, via their phones. He added that the greatest benefit that the project service brings was that users can stay in touch with all their friends and also get to know what is happening in the world around them through the streaming news feeds. — Online
