The title Kumbumura Mhute, (raising the dust), was derived from the high energy, up tempo songs, on the 10-track album.

“I will do my best performance on the launch, I urge people to come in their numbers and expect fireworks,” he said.

Jah Prayzah predicted that the title track Kumbumura Mhute and Makanika would become hits. He sampled the two songs at a family show at Extra Mile Hotel in Harare in which he said the reception was great and the crowd loved the song.

The album, produced at Diamond Studios under the guidance of Jabulani Ndlovu, features Botswana musician Chama Girl, a lead vocalist from the group Culture Spears.

Chama Girl recorded a duet with Jah Prayzah called Dali Wangu on this album and is set to perform at the official launch at the Harare International Conference Centre today before a date with Bulawayo tomorrow.

Other artistes expected to be present include Suluman Chimbetu who recently composed a jingle for Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa’s forthcoming “Judgment Night 2” pencilled for the National Sports Stadium on April 19.

Ammara Brown, daughter of the late Andy Brown, released a sizzling duet with Jah Prayzah early this year titled Kure Kure which is currently causing ripples on the airwaves in Zimbabwe.

Jah Prayzah said plans were underway to launch the album across Zimbabwe.
