ALL is set for this year’s edition of Miss Bulawayo Junior beauty pageant to be held at Coghlan Primary tomorrow.
The prestigious pageant running under the theme Creating a bridging point, will see beauties competing for the coveted crown.
Speaking to Southern Eye Lifestyle event co-ordinator Emmanuel Mwanena said the pageant was aimed at giving young people with an interest in modelling a platform to nurture their talent while young.
“The aim of the pageant is to give the young models an understanding of the modelling industry, as well as the opportunity to be exposed to different pageants.
“We groom models. Some have excelled at the global stage like Former Miss Tourism Zimbabwe Samantha Ntombizodzwa Tshuma who visited Bangkok, Thailand, representing the country in the inaugural Miss Grand International,” he added.
Other models who have been groomed under Miss Bulawayo Junior include Mellisa Chaka, reigning Miss Bulawayo and Trymore Moyo who was crowned Mr Bulawayo.
Hurricanes dance crew, Black Converse, would be entertainers for the day.
Last year the pageant was won by Nonhlanhla Dube who walked away with a cash price and a hamper.
