The supercharged superstar who has proved his prowess on the decks beyond any reasonable doubt, has called for local up-and-coming artistes to take up music with a passion as it is not easy to produce works of high quality and creative output that will appeal to all audiences.

Cooper Man has worked with renowned artists in South Africa such as DJ Clock, Q-ness, Reloaded, Dj Bhekzin and Groova Lounge, among others, and has attended various music conferences in South Africa. He says local talent must be tapped to its fullest as Bulawayo artistes have the capacity to produce works of high quality.

“As a producer-cum disc jockey, I have been part and parcel of music international conferences and the skills that I have honed over the years and the vast experience of close to a decade in the music industry, I believe can go a long way in developing the abundant talent that has not been fully developed at home to its highest level of sophistication,” he said.

He added that even those artistes who would have produced their music can contact him so that he could mix and master their songs since he has been doing it outside the country.

“Even those who have produced their tracks can come to my studio and we work together in developing our music industry, especially in Bulawayo. Our music has been lagging behind, but I would like to tell established and up-and-coming artistes to come together and we produce music of high quality and we show the world that our music industry has matured,” he said.

He recently launched Mfundisi who is based in Maphisa and his track Stage Rush has become a hit in the local entertainment scene.

Cooper Man has a rich history in music; he has done quite a number of songs and remixes with most of his tracks being sold online.

He has also done Song for Pirates featuring Good-Enough Sithole known as Five Skippers which to date has more than 5 000 views online.

Some of the tracks that he did with DJ Clock include DnB, Stimela and UNomalizo. To add on his talent he has worked with Bob Skinnah who also doubled as his manager.

Of late the dreadlocked artiste has been involved in various projects and has invited vocalists who think they can fit in some of the latest productions that he has done. To date he has produced more than 50 instrumentals and remixes for various artistes in the country and in South Africa.

His genré of music ranges from traditional, house and to electro contemporary beats. He had a short stint on Star FM two years back where he Introduced Ambient Soul and deep house to the hearts of listeners.

During this short spell he was able to introduce local artistes such as DJ Keitho, Khuxxman, Mutual friends and Djembe Monks.
