JOHANNESBURG – Kaizer Chiefs striker Knowledge Musona is staying put at Naturena unless there is an offer from Europe. Even big spenders Mamelodi Sundowns cannot have him.
Responding to reports that he was being lured to Chloorkop, Musona (23) said: “No, no, no, I saw on the internet but I have no idea.
“My aim is to go to Europe. If not, I will stay here at Kaizer Chiefs. I am not going to any other team in South Africa.”
The Zimbabwean international has been on a season-long loan from Hoffenheim in Germany but he said the German club had not contacted him yet.
After winning the Best Goal of the Season and Top Goalscorer of the Season with 16 goals in all competitions at the Kaizer Chiefs club awards last night, Musona said money was secondary to him as a footballer.
“I know money is part of football, but the main thing [for me] is to play regularly in a team where I’m really wanted. I’m happy here at Kaizer Chiefs,” said Musona.
“This is the team that made me to be the player I am.”
