Magwenzi got a net score of 69 grossing 77 playing off handicap eight in the competition that attracted 34 amateur golfers.

Brian Sanangurai was on second spot grossing 82 playing of handicap 11 to net 71 while Wilfred Chinembiri won the third prize on count out as he was tied on a net score of 72 with Arthur Ngangira.

Chinembiri grossed 88 playing off handicap 16 while Ngangira posted a gross score of 90 playing off handicap 18. Magwenzi won another prize after coming out as the gross winner netting 69 playing off handicap eight to post a gross score of 77 before receiving another prize for winning the nearest to pin on hole number seven.

Tonderai Gavu, Maxwell Mudonhi and Reimer Hamann won the nearest to pins on hole numbers three, 10 and 16 respectively. Clemence Nyamutswa had the most golf of the tournament.

He netted a score of 89 playing off handicap 24 after getting a gross score of 113. Matabeleland Golf Association president Mufaro Chivonivoni won the Mbada Golf Society first game of the season that was played at Bulawayo Golf Club in April netting 67 after grossing 72 playing off handicap five.

The Mbada Golf Society is a competition that is played over a year with participants accumulating points at the end of each game.

At the end of the 2014 to 2015 season, the golfer who comes on top of the final order of merit will become the champion and win the green jacket.

Wishes Nyoni is the reigning Mbada Golf Society champion.
