The 13-track album — to be released in November — will feature songs that talk of love, freedom, respecting women and other themes.

“I did not want to give this album a title that will limit me. I wanted to talk about different issues in life and for everyone who listens to the tracks to be able to identify with them and to gain something,” said Ncube.

The album carries promising tracks such as Morning Star — a love song.

“A morning star is the last star to be seen and this refers to a beautiful girl who is the only star that shines when all the others have faded. When I wake up, she is the only one I see,” said Ncube .

He has three singles under his belt — Anogona featuring hip–hop artistes J Wyzle and Tash, Decisions and Mind Blowing featuring Michy.

The youthful artiste was part of a group The Emminance which joined Kasilami Arts Platform (Klap) — a hip-hop music movement which comprises several young upcoming artistes from Bulawayo, whose vision is to take local hip-hop music to new heights — in February 2013.

The Emminance split in December 2013 and left Klap which they had been attached to due to personal commitments, but Ncube remained with Klap.

“I joined Klap because I believe it is the only crew which is well organised. We carry the same wave, same goals and they motivated me to work hard,” he said.

“They showed me I needed a vision for my music. The crew has taught me it is not all about the art and the talent, but the work you put in.”

Ncube started performing in 2007 at the Miss Nkulumane peagant, Entumbane Summer Bash in Entumbane Hall in 2009 and the Colour Blocking show in 2010 at the Bulawayo Amphitheatre.
