Organisers of the seminar told Southern Eye Business yesterday the event would be held at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Hall 4 on August 30.

Dumisani Magadlela, an executive coach, trainer, leadership facilitator and an organisational development strategist based in South Africa, would be the main speaker.

Magadlela works for the Development Bank of Southern Africa, and has previously worked as an advisor to the United Nations Development Programme.

One of the organisers of the seminar, Phillip Phiri, said the seminar would cater for needs of Christian business people as well as everyone who aspires to be in business and those already in business.

“We want them to grow their entrepreneurship skills, develop their strategic thinking skills and grow their business as well,” Phiri said.

“Magadlela comes on this day specifically to share with us his deep knowledge and coach business people how to run and grow their businesses and develop strategies on how to overcome current economic challenges,” Phiri added.

“This seminar is meant to grow networking among business people.

“We are expecting business people — local and outside Bulawayo — to attend this seminar which is free of entry. We anticipate that the speaker will touch on our economic situation and give valuable insights into how we could overcome current challenges.”

Bulawayo businesses are gasping for survival as companies battle with low capitalisation largely due to shortage of working capital, obsolete machinery and erratic power supplies, among other challenges.
