Destiny Praise Ensemble, one of the upcoming celebrated gospel groups in Bulawayo, has managed to move a step up immediately after their thankful concert which was held at Bulawayo theatre last month.

PRESTIGE GAMA OWN CORRESPONDENT The group has shown Bulawayo that not all gospel music groups are after money by accepting invites from churches without a charge.

The group manager, Abraham Morrison Lungu, told Southern Eye yesterday that after so many years of worship and making the group known all over Bulawayo, they have managed to come up with a strategy to motivate singers and audiences through organising a live DVD recording.

“We have gone through a tough and self-motivating time as Destiny Praise. The journey has not been smooth. However, we endured the hardships knowing it would reward soon,” Lungu said.

“After our ‘thankful concert’ I felt motivated and inspired. I even started arranging for a live DVD recording which I am anticipating to release by the beginning of next year,” he added.

A lot of people have shown much interest in the group by demanding the concert CDs which the management is busy working on.”

Andile Moyo, group administrator, said: “We have been receiving calls. More than that we expected from our fans demanding CDs of the Thankful Concert and as we continue to promise to avail them we have initially started producing the CDs.”

We have started working towards the live DVD recording which we intend to hold by the beginning of 2015,” he added.

Arrangements for the 2015 DVD recording are underway as musicians have resumed practices sessions with the aim to give the best to their audiences.

Ngqabutho Ncube, a fan of Destiny Praise, said: “Personally, I fell in love with Destiny Praise the moment they appeared on stage.

“It was a group of determined musicians who showed interest in whatever they were giving to audiences.

“It must not end there, we need more from those guy we love their music.”
