According to DRUM Magazine SABC’s spokesperson, Kaizer Kganyago revealed that instead of Generations at 8pm weekdays, viewers will watch Season 3 of Skeem Saam.

The changes came after 16 actors’ were fired by Mfundi Vundla’s company MMSV Productions which produces the soapie.

Kganyago said Generations will take a break for two months while the producers are revamping the soapie.

Skeem Saam was changed from a drama series into a soapie, just few months ago.

Generations’ producer, Vundla has vowed that he will not take the fired actors back.

Kganyago said SABC was aware of the effects on their ratings. He was adamant that viewers will get used to it.

He is qouted as saying: “The only challenge is if Skeem Saam gives us more viewers and then Generations comes back, but we will see.”
