Aces shared the spoils with Sundowns in a League match that saw Barker’s charges matching the defending Absa Premiership champions.

Ndoro – who was on the field for 73 minutes before he was substituted for Mabhuti Khenyeza – says Aces’ performance last night shows that they can match any team in the top-flight.

“We actually could have won that match. That is how close it was,”Ndoro tells KickOff.com.

“We were playing against the defending champions so we are very happy with the draw. It is interesting that a number of people were already writing us off before the match but we matched our opponents in all departments.

“Much of the credit must go to the coach, who is very experienced. His tactics are effective and he knows how to analyse our opponents.

“The most encouraging thing about our coach is that he believes in us and always knows how to motivate us,” explains Ndoro, a Zimbabwean international.

The result puts Aces on 16 points after 10 matches. Barker’s charges – who are sixth on the log – trail leaders Kaizer Chiefs by 12 points.

“If we can manage a top-three finish, then I will be happy. We have not done badly in the 10 matches that we have played but there is certainly room for improvement,” Ndoro observes.
