OLD Pumula-based pennywhistle group Isikhongwane Township Melodies is set to stage its first performance at Selbourne Hotel, Bulawayo, tonight.

The jazz outfit will share the stage with resident band Jade that is known for its melodious performances.
Isikhongwane has been performing at various venues across the city since 2006 and has a rich history in jazz music.
The group has previously shared the stage with the likes of renowned dub poet Albert Nyathi.
Sekunjalo Investments events manager Thabani Masawi said tonight’s show was the beginning of non-stop good entertainment the hotel’s Terrace Garden had lined-up for the festive season.
“We are working hard to expose some unknown bands while at the same time reviving the génre of jazz to entertain our mature patrons,” he said.
“We promise our patrons a good festive season that will be filled with various acts that appeal to different age groups.”
