THE Bulawayo Athletics Board (BAB) has announced athletes who will represent the province in the national cross-country final in Kadoma on Saturday.
SPORTS REPORTER
Athletes were selected on Sunday at the BAB provincial cross-country race at Luveve High School.
BAB chairperson Manuel Mpofu said: “The team will be leaving for Kadoma on Friday and will not camp as athletes will be training with their various clubs.
They will also be monitored by the travelling coaches.”
Mpofu said the provincial team was a true reflection of the talent in the province.
“I’m very optimistic that the athletes will perform very well in Kadoma and make it to the national team that will compete in the regional finals.
They were practising off-season and some athletes who did not take park in last month’s Nketa Drive race were selected into the team,” he said.
