We are sexually irresponsible?

Is it not a sad thing when humanity can be so confused with sexuality?

All other animals know who is female and who is male and who is not yet ready for mating and they respect that natural cause.

On the other hand, human beings, created in the image and likeness of God and endowed with such power to discern between right and wrong, seem so confused they no longer know what to do.

They can no longer tell the difference between a child and a woman, between a man and a woman.

They want to be intimate with everyone. They sexually violate childhood and claim it is culture or it is according to law. Do you think it is not confusion, when a man marries a man, a woman marries a woman, a father is intimate with his daughter, a son is intimate with his mother, grandparents impregnate their nieces and a man has sex with a donkey or a dog?

Is it not confusion when a mother “sexually steals” her daughter’s boyfriend, when a 12-year-old child gets pregnant, when a maid rapes a two-year-old boy and when teenagers get into a nude party and have gang sex?

Beloved, is it not confusion when people are intimate in their offices, on the streets, in cars, in bars, even in their temples and synagogues?

I do not know, but surely is it not confusion when in marriage couples deny each other sex and use it to fix each other and manipulate each other while outside marriage sex is a free for all, anywhere, anyhow just like that?

Something is not sitting right when it comes to our attitude towards sex as a people. We are missing something vital and as a result we have made ourselves vulnerable and the consequences are too much to contemplate unless we reconsider our attitude very quickly and sober up.

We seem to be so drunk with lust and we do not know what to do.

Humanity originates from God and is created by God and not by human rights or democracy. The Creator made some specifications as to how to handle our sexuality. These have nothing to do with our various cultures and rights.

They have everything to do with God and our relationship with Him and, of course, our health. I mean God is clear regarding sex.

In 1 Corinthians 6:18 the Bible tells us: “Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that man (human kind) does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body.”

Beloved, is it surprising us that the effects of our sexual behaviour directly affect our bodies? The Bible says we are sinning against ourselves, against our bodies and yet there is no spare for the human body. It’s only once.

All this confusion about our sexuality is such that it brings so much pain and death to our bodies and we never live up to what God expected from us.

There is no difference between committing suicide and sinning sexually. It is all suicide and the result is the same. Do not tell me we have a suicidal generation? Let me show you the sexual confusions that we have embraced at our own peril.

Fornication is sex before marriage. It’s so common and it’s a free for all. We hide behind the lie that we cannot abstain and it’s just chilling up. By the way, with or without protection, the effects are the same.

Adultery is having sex outside your marriage. It does not matter the reason, it is as wrong as the reasons given.

Prostitution is buying and selling sex. Well these days they call it commercial sex work just to dignify a wrong.

This is the confusion. We are so afraid of telling each other the truth and begin to believe God is wrong by calling us prostitutes. We say He is stigmatising our profession.

Is it not a shame when we can believe such a lie?

Same sex marriages result from homosexual and lesbian relationships. They are a huge political scandal that defiles every biological function of the human body and makes nonsense of God‘s intentions of sexual intimacy.

Rape, bestiality and other perversions are happening everyday.

The truth of the matter is that we are sexually irresponsible and reckless. We are so driven by the now gratification of our feelings and carelessly overlook the big picture of our lives.

We hide our irresponsibility behind little fingers like man-made laws, human rights, cultures and religions.

We refuse to be responsible and begin to blame. Beloved, let each one of us control themselves lest you live in misery of your choices and actions. Beware of humanism.

We cannot run away from the rights and wrongs of our sexual conduct.

We need to get to a point as a people where we can sit down and rethink our sexual conduct and align it with the dictates and demands of creation, and only then can we prosper in spirit, soul and body.
