Former Dynamos forward King Nasama is yet to report for pre-season training at Gweru-based side WhaWha, raising alarm within the club ahead of the resumption of the Chibuku Super Cup in about eight days’time.

Nasama and defender Nyasha Gurende have both been absent from training and look set to miss the return of domestic topflight football.

The former Chicken Inn forward had established himself as the main striker for the prison wardens and his absence leaves the team with limited options in attack.

A WhaWha official told NewsDay Sport yesterday that the club was yet to rule him out of their plans, especially considering that they did not have the resources to bring in replacements at this stage.

In his absence, the Luke Petros-coached side will rely on Xolani Ncube for goals when the tournament resumes. Ncube was their only goal scorer during their three Chibuku Super Cup matches.

Meanwhile, they are hoping that their preferred home ground, Ascot Stadium, will be homologated to host league matches.
