Detectives located Blessed Luciano, a cellphone dealer and recovered some of the phones.
Detectives established that the cellphones were part of the complainant’s stolen property.
They interviewed Luciano who indicated that he bought the cellphones from one Isaac Craig Chaza on June 1 this year.
“On the same day detectives purported to be potential buyers and lured Chaza who came to Ximex Mall, while in the company of Strive Makangira and they also recovered some phones from him,” the court papers read.
“It was established that the cellphones recovered from him were part of the complainant’s stolen property. Detectives interviewed Chaza about the source of the cellphones.
“He indicated that he was given the three cellphones he was in possession of and the other five he had sold to Luciano on June 1, 2025 by Mukaro to sell on his behalf.”
Chaza and Makangira led detectives to Joina City mall where Mukaro was arrested.
Mukaro led detectives to his home in Domboshava were more phones were recovered.
