Police seek relatives of unidentified body

POLICE in the Midlands are seeking information that may lead to the location of relatives of an unidentified body of a male adult who was found hanging from a tree about three years ago.

Provincial police spokesperson, Emmanuel Mahoko, said the body remained unclaimed at Kwekwe General Hospital mortuary.

"The deceased, suspected to be in his 20s, was found with no particulars to help to identify him, and now the police have reached out again to help to trace his relatives," Mahoko said.

He said the body was found hanging from a tree at Gondongwe Farm in Kwekwe.

"The body was discovered on 9 March 2025 at about 5pm. He was wearing a blue pair of trousers, a black T-shirt, a black cap, and a pair of black push-ins.

"The deceased is dark in complexion and approximately in his late twenties," he said.

“We are appealing to members of the public who might be having a missing male adult relative matching the above description, to contact Kwekwe Central Police for assistance," Mahoko added.
