A 4O-year-old man from Sosombane village Macingwane, Plumtree is in trouble after he unlawfully sold a piece of land to another villager
The suspect, Doubt Nkomo, was remanded to September 8 after he appeared before Plumtree magistrate Joshua Nembaware facing fraud charges
The complainant in the matter is Meric Mwinde from Mathendele.
Prosecutor Sheila Nyathi told the court that sometime in February last year, Mwinde bought a rural stand from Nkomo for US$800.
Mwinde later fenced off the stand, and later discovered that the accused had sold the same stand to another person.
It was heard that Mwinde removed his fence and went to claim his money back from Nkomo but he refused to pay back the money.
The matter was reported to the police leading to his arrest.
