THE Bubi constituency has concluded a series of participatory feedback meetings, setting its development agenda for the year.
The meetings, held on January 12 and 13 and led by the local Member of Parliament and Higher and Tertiary Education deputy minister Simelisizwe Sibanda, served as a platform for residents to review past projects and shape future priorities.
Sibanda presented a report on constituency achievements while stressing the need for accountability, transparency and community participation in ensuring equitable development across all wards.
“Under this leadership, we have made significant strides. However, it is through continued accountability and your active voices that we ensure these developments reach every ward and household,” he told attendees.
“Communities must take ownership of their development agenda. Expanding village business units, scaling up youth skills training and building climate resilience are critical for sustainable growth.”
The deputy minister indicated that feedback directly shapes constituency priorities and informs his engagements with various ministries.
Sibanda also called for unity and continued support for national development efforts, emphasising that community-driven action is the cornerstone for achieving a Vision 2030.
