THE 66th edition of the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) preparations are on track, with all critical operational, commercial and infrastructure work streams firmly in place to ensure the event rows into life on Monday.
This year’s edition is scheduled for April 20-25, 2026 and will run under the theme Connected Economies, Competitive Industries.
ZITF board chairman Busisa Moyo made the remarks during a media briefing, adding that the organisation has now transitioned into final execution mode, with focus shifted to coordination, quality assurance and delivering an exceptional stakeholder experience.
“We are pleased to report that preparations for ZITF 2026 are on track, with all critical operational, commercial, and infrastructure work streams firmly in place to ensure we commence ZITF on Monday April 20, 2026,” he said.
Moyo added that the exhibition space uptake stands at 97% capacity, with 49 810m2 square metres already taken up out of 51 170m2 available.
He highlighted that they have confirmed 485 direct exhibitors, including 100 leaseholders.
International participation is quite strong, with 46 international exhibitors from 29 countries including Belarus, Belgium, Botswana, China, Denmark, Eswatini, Ethiopia, the European Union, France, India, Indonesia, Italy and Ireland.
There is also Germany, Japan, Kenya, Malawi, Malaysia, Mozambique, Namibia, Netherlands, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Africa, Sweden, Tanzania, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and Zambia.

Moyo noted that business visitor registrations are currently at 10 472 compared to last year’s number of 8 142.
“Based on these indicators, our overall readiness level is high.
“Exhibition performance, exhibitor uptake has been strong across both the public and private sectors, with government participation at 42% and the private sector contributing 58% of space uptake.”
Moyo revealed that all permanent halls are nearly fully subscribed and a purpose-built marquee has been erected to cater for overflow demand.
He stated that this is a clear indicator of market confidence and sustained interest in the ZITF
platform.
“All major conference and networking platforms are ready, with programmes finalised and partners fully engaged.”
This year’s edition will be officially opened by Botswana President Duma Gideon Boko.
