Bulawayo braces for major crusade as Prophet Philip Banda set to minister

Organisers say preparations are at an advanced stage for what is anticipated to be one of the largest Christian gatherings in the city this year.

Thousands of worshippers from across Zimbabwe and neighbouring countries are expected to converge at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Centre in Bulawayo for a three-day crusade hosted by Impact for Christ Ministries from July 3 to 5.

The event, dubbed the Bulawayo Crusade, will be led by renowned preacher Prophet Philip Banda and is expected to focus on prayer, spiritual renewal, worship, healing and the preaching of the Gospel.

Organisers say preparations are at an advanced stage for what is anticipated to be one of the largest Christian gatherings in the city this year.

For more than 25 years, Impact for Christ Ministries has been involved in evangelistic outreach, church conferences, crusades and media ministry, reaching people across different nations with a message of faith and hope.

Speaking ahead of the crusade, Prophet Banda said the gathering is an opportunity for people to experience spiritual transformation and renewed hope.

“We believe God has appointed this time for Bulawayo. Our prayer is that people from all walks of life will come and encounter the love, power and grace of Jesus Christ. We are expecting lives to be transformed, families to be restored and people to discover fresh hope for the future,” said Prophet Banda.

He said the crusade comes at a time when many people are searching for answers amid social and economic challenges.

“Throughout history, whenever people gather in faith and seek God sincerely, remarkable things happen. We believe this crusade will be a time of revival, healing and spiritual awakening, not only for Bulawayo but for the nation as a whole,” he said.

The crusade will feature worship sessions, prayer services and Gospel preaching, with organisers encouraging families, churches and community groups to attend.

Impact for Christ Ministries said the event is open to everyone regardless of denomination, background or age.

Bulawayo, Zimbabwe’s second-largest city, has long been recognised for its rich cultural heritage, resilience and strong community spirit. Organisers believe the crusade will provide an opportunity for people to unite in faith and seek spiritual encouragement.

The Bulawayo Crusade will run from July 3 to 5 at the Zimbabwe International Trade Fair Centre, with admission free to the public.

“We invite everyone to come with expectation and an open heart. We believe God has something special in store for Bulawayo,” Prophet Banda said.
