Zimbabwe’s iconic beer brand, Zambezi Lager, is turning up the heat this winter with another edition of The Mighty Bonfire Nights, set for Tshisanyama in Victoria Falls tomorrow, as the brewer continues its nationwide build-up to the return of its flagship Bonfire Festival the following day in Harare.

The Victoria Falls event, which starts at 6pm and runs until late, promises an evening of music, entertainment, prizes and social interaction around a roaring bonfire, giving both locals and visitors to the resort town a taste of Zimbabwe’s celebrated outdoor lifestyle.

Patrons who purchase a bucket of Zambezi Lager to share will receive one complimentary unit and stand a chance to win a variety of exciting prizes as part of the promotion.

Delta Beverages marketing manager – lagers, Kundayi Mawema, said the return of the event signals the revival of one of Zimbabwe’s most cherished winter experiences.

“The Mighty Zambezi Lager Bonfire Festival has always been more than just an event; it is a unique lifestyle and cultural experience created for our Zambezians,” Mawema said.

“It brings people together to enjoy Zambezi Lager while celebrating the great outdoors, music and storytelling, building lasting connections around the warmth of one large, unifying bonfire.

“We are excited to bring back Zimbabwe’s Own Bonfire, and preparations are well underway to deliver the ultimate winter celebration.”

To build excitement ahead of the flagship festival, Zambezi Lager has been staging a series of Bonfire Micro Events across the country.

The campaign kicked off in Kadoma on June 13, before moving to Bulawayo on June 20 and Harare on June 27, with the Victoria Falls activation continuing the momentum.

According to the company, the roadshows are designed to reconnect with consumers while recreating the vibrant atmosphere that has made the Bonfire Festival one of the country’s most anticipated winter lifestyle events.

Over the years, the Bonfire Festival has evolved beyond a promotional event into a platform celebrating friendship, Zimbabwean culture and the country’s love for the outdoors.

The gatherings combine live entertainment, storytelling, food and social experiences, all centred around the warmth of a giant bonfire.

The Victoria Falls edition is expected to attract both residents and tourists, reinforcing the resort city’s status as a premier destination for leisure and entertainment.

Zambezi Lager has also reiterated its commitment to responsible drinking, with the event restricted to adults aged 18 years and above, while encouraging patrons to avoid drinking and driving.
