Midlands State University (MSU) lecturer Theo Tsokota has been honoured with the prestigious Super Platinum Award in the ICT Educator category at the Zimbabwe CEOs’ Network ICT, Innovation and Digital Transformation Excellence Awards.
The awards ceremony, held in Harare last Friday, celebrated outstanding individuals and organisations driving innovation, digital transformation and technological advancement under the theme, Innovate, Lead & Achieve.
Tsokota, a lecturer in the Faculty of Business Sciences’ Department of Information and Marketing Sciences, received the highest accolade in his category in recognition of his exceptional contribution to ICT education, innovation and digital transformation.
In a statement, MSU congratulated Tsokota on the achievement, describing it as a reflection of the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and innovation.
“Midlands State University proudly congratulates Dr T Tsokota on being crowned the Super Platinum Winner in the ICT Educator category at the Zimbabwe CEOs’ Network ICT, Innovation and Digital Transformation Excellence Awards,” the university said.
“This remarkable achievement reflects Dr Tsokota’s dedication to excellence in teaching, research and innovation and reinforces the university’s mission of producing graduates and scholars who transform industries, communities and the nation through knowledge and innovation.”
Reacting to the award, Tsokota dedicated the honour to the university community that has supported him throughout his 21-year career at MSU.
“For 21 years, MSU has been my home and family,” he said.
