Our Owner and his glorified back-to-back car dummies

Opinion
Employing people to get angry on your behalf won’t change anything

WHILE Muckraker and others are still eagerly awaiting the return of Maxwell Chikumbutso to State House for the official launch of his radio wave-powered “faith-healing” EV car (an appointment overdue since February), Our Owner was once again led astray—this time in Japan, where he was duped into believing he was meeting Toyota Motor Corporation representatives, who  are so desperate to capitalise on his “Open for Business” mantra to open a vehicle assembly plant in Harare.

Our Owner was made to believe Toyota Tsusho Corp is one and the same as Toyota Motor Corporation, and he was made to believe very soon, sleek Toyota cars will be rolling out of an assembly plant in Harare.

After the Chikumbutso dummy, this one made it two … to complete a double, a back-to-back!

In a remotely normal country, those who conspired to take our Owner on display at the Expo under the false impression of going to consummate more mega-deals would face the music … thankfully this one has never really been one.

Otherwise, this is exactly when the Undermining and or Insulting the Owner “law” should be evoked, not on journalists doing their job, but on those who are now in the habit of making a fool of our Owner.

The mediocrity doesn’t just start at the lower rungs of the ladder … it starts right at the top … and these are the effects of meeting “kumba kwemunhu” to make what are supposed to be serious national decisions.

Anyway, when you have become an addlepated old man but continue to deny it, people end up making a fool of you … in fact, you end up making a fool of yourself.

Employing people to get angry on your behalf won’t change anything … you only continue to make a bigger fool of yourself!

The only consolation there is that Zimbos have grown to expect nothing from anything called “mega-deal”, so no one is going to follow up on this latest one from Toyota.

Uselessness!

This week, the country had a horrible road traffic accident that killed 17 people.

The accident confirmed just what Muck and others have always pointed out … that Zimbos are alone … with no responsible government to look forward to.

For a good three hours, the victims lay crying for help while trapped under the weight of a haulage truck, but there was no mobile crane to lift it … until they died.

This was right in the capital of a country that claims to have a leadership … a misleadership that is busy plotting an extension of its stay in power so that it can continue to loot, loot and loot.

People dying such a painful death in a so-called independent Zimbabwe in broad daylight right in the capital as if they were victims of the Chimoio bombing that took place in a bush.

You just need to see the size of the presidential and other motorcades to see that the pleas of indigence are just excuses, silly ones for that matter!

And when journalists and others point to this uselessness, those whose job is only to get angry on behalf of our Owner are quick to swoop down to make arrests! Useless idiots!

Open for business!

Whoever said this world is a small world was really right … very right! We are told that Nigerian business mogul, Aliko Dangote, who previously refused to grease our palms so his cement manufacturing project could go smoothly, has started constructing a massive fuel storage facility in Namibia, with plans to supply his very cheap fuel to a number of southern African countries, including ours.

So, we certainly are going to be meeting him again … this time around on our own terms.

If the Nigerian wants to pump fuel into this country, he will have to do it exclusively via local partners … and we all know who these are … otherwise he should forget and smile.

We would rather continue importing our oil products from the Middle East … for as long as we make loads of cash through our tight monopoly over this critical sector.

We already are making lots of money from fuel … because we are shareholders in that ethanol business that has displaced tens of thousands of villagers from their ancestral homes, and we insist all petrol should be blended with our ethanol … to make it still the most expensive in the whole world!

We are made to understand that fuel is very cheap in Nigeria, about US$0,60 per litre, so even if Dangote would deliver it to Harare, we will still insist on retailing it for the current prices … only us, the Owners of the country, ought to enjoy these low-hanging juicy fruits … isn’t it what we died for?

If Dangote tries to play hard ball again this time, we simply get our people to condemn his fuel as unfit for use on our cars… full stop!

We are told Zambia has started building a billion-dollar oil refinery so that it can import crude oil from Angola where oil retails for as little as US$0,30 per litre.

That is also the other option that is wide open to us … we just either upgrade our Feruka plant, or replace it altogether, and start pumping cheap fuel into the country to sell it at prevailing prices of anything up to US$1,60 per litre. This is what we mean by our mantra “Zimbabwe is Open for Business!” If you can’t get your hands on these lucrative tenders it means you are surely a fool!

Lodger Barons’ master plan

Those who thought they had seen enough corruption in this country should think again.

In Harare Cde Doink & Co, in the guise of drawing a Master Plan for the city, are plotting a 20-year moratorium on new residential stands, so that some criminals can cash in on rentals from their housing projects.

The lodger barons are seeing good money in the 43% of the city residents who do not own the properties they live in … these barons want to ensure that the figure goes higher much faster than it did during the past 25 years when this moratorium has been in existence without being formally declared.

Isn’t Cde Doink building illegal structures to rent out? How can such a person be trusted to make objective decisions for the good of the city? Isn’t this what our Owner & Co are doing on the macro level? By the way, Cde Doink is a recent graduate from the Chitepo School of Selfish Ideology, so he is really showing good potential!

Impressed!

Muck was last week thoroughly impressed that the Khami prisoner files are being generously shared around so that hungry Zimbos can at least have something to bribe the pangs of hunger with! What more can one ask for?
