'A new Southern African Development Community (Sadc) Chairman in three weeks’ time. In the past 12 months, Sadc had no chairman. Instead our region was fed with slogans, political rhetoric & zero action. We will be in Antananarivo to welcome a new era of Southern African leadership, a new Sadc Chairman in three weeks’ time. Congratulations President Rajolina!!”
This was the nonsense that Zambian political hooligan called Joseph Kalimbwe was sharing on his social media pages. It is things such as these that make Muckraker really angry… remember it is Muck’s patriotic duty to be very angry on behalf of our Owner?!
People are really ungrateful. Surely, how could this boy – who was only born in 1993 – make such disparaging remarks considering all the earth-shattering developments that the region has seen in the past 11 months since our Owner landed at the helm of the regional grouping?
If anything, chances are very high that at the upcoming summit, most progressive leaders might actually be clamouring for an encore… demanding that our Owner be given another year or two to continue as the Sadc chair! Well, those such as our own Daniel Chapo of Mozambique would not even mind having him as the bloc’s life chairperson “for the sake of continuity, efficiency and progress”! Why not, with all the vast experience under his belt? Having a one-year rotational chairmanship for Sadc was never the best of ideas, just as presidential terms limits, as we have since come to realise in both cases.
These limits deprive people of enjoying the best leadership there is. Sadly, our Owner is the outgoing holder of the rotational chairmanship of the 16-nation Sadc, and his one-year tenure is due to end this month when he is supposed to hand over to that Madagascan boy, Andry Rajoelina, something that will lighten the importance of this very important post.
Back home, our Owner’s rare leadership qualities are evident for all to see… with “the people” not wanting him to leave. Constitutionally, the constitutionalist is supposed to be in his second and final term, but “the people” are begging him to please continue leading them because if he goes, they would actually be stranded, as his leadership qualities cannot be found anywhere. Yet these are the very same leadership qualities that Sadc is sacrificing on the cheap altar of change for the mere sake of change!
There is no debate that our Owner’s peerless leadership qualities is the envy of many leaders in the region, most of whom look to him as their role model, and are actively following his example. For example, just like him, South Africa’s Cyril Ramaphosa is in the process of appointing a Police minister outside of the constitutional provisions, Tanzania’s Samia Saluhu is locking up her opponents, while Zambia’s Hakainde Hichilema is fighting over the corpse of his dead predecessor while at the same time locking up those citizens that rightly suggest that he could be a sorcerer.
There is no doubt that the general feeling among member states is that Sadc needs strong and mature leadership, and it looks like our Owner is the only one purposefully endowed with these special qualities… so why should he be denied the duty to lead the region to prosperity?

If the region is going to follow useless traditions as to sacrifice experience for the sake of change, it will live to regret it in the long run. It should not say Muck did not warn it!
More political hooliganism
Still on political hooliganism, below is what some of these hooligans planted in the media this week.
“It has never been easy for (Goodwills) Masimirembwa during the intense meeting where he kept on apologising to Chiwenga, Muchinguri-Kashiri and Mpofu for their unethical conduct as a province for attempting to bring Tagwirei through backdoor.
The visibly shaking Masimirembwa promised the three (Chiwenga, Muchinguri-Kashiri and Mpofu) that their behaviour was wayward and they kindly stand guided if they could return back the corruptly acquired perks to Tagwirei,” the source said.
“He accepted that their acceptance of the bribes was mainly driven by selfishness, poverty, greediness and rampant corruption that has become rife within their ranks, especially through their association with tenderpreneur syndicates who use wealth as bait to influence political ends,” the source added.
Who doesn’t know that all these are lies, damn lies because all the people are solidly behind our Owner and whatever decisions that are unanimously made at Precabe Farm?
Careless carelessness
Some editors within the state-controlled Zimpapers are being very careless. This week, they ran a story about two murder suspects in separate cases who share the family names Urayai and Wurayayi—which mean “kill”. Someone in the media outlet then added their opinion that names can be prophetic. Muck thinks this is a crime, a very serious one as this could tempt our people to conclude that names such as Dambudzo are not innocent, but also prophetic in a darkly way… too! The editors ought to be summonsed to Law and Order!
Funny
Meanwhile, this week Angolans were engaged in violent protests against the increase in fuel prices from 300 kwanza ($0,33) to 400 kwanza ($0,44). Funny people!
