FLAMBOYANT Castle Lager Premier Soccer League debutants Scottland FC have made a significant statement of intent in the mid-season transfer window, securing the signature of national team forward Terrence Dzvukamanja.

Dzvukamanja, now 31, was previously with SuperSport United, a club reportedly in the process of being sold to Bloemfontein Celtic and slated for a renaming to Celtic United.

This move marks a welcome reunion for Dzvukamanja and Scottland coach Tonderai Ndiraya.

The two previously collaborated at Ngezi Platinum Stars before Dzvukamanja moved to South Africa.

He joined South African Premier League side Bidvest Wits ahead of their 2018/2019 season.

Expressing his enthusiasm about the transfer, Dzvukamanja said: “I’m thrilled to be here at Scottland FC, ready to embrace the challenge and score goals to help the team advance.”

Dzvukamanja has been a consistent presence in the national team, which recently qualified for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations finals in Morocco under German coach Michael Nees.

This high-profile transfer comes barely 24 hours after the mid-season window opened.

Reports indicate that the club, owned by legislator and businessman Pedzayi “Scott” Sakupwanya, is looking to significantly overhaul its squad once again.

Scottland FC were the biggest spenders during the off-season transfer period, bringing in an entirely new squad, including six players who featured on last season’s Soccer Stars calendar.

Despite their formidable roster, the team had an underwhelming first half of the season and currently sits in fourth place on the log standings with 28 points from 17 matches.

Scottland will face Harare giants Caps United in their next league match at Rufaro Stadium on Sunday.
