AGAMA coach Paul Chimalizeni has scooped the Northern Region Soccer League (NRSL) Supafix Coach of the Month award for July.
Chimalizeni was the surprise winner getting the accolade ahead of Golden Eagles coach Arthur Gorejena, whose impressive statistics three wins out of three.
Just like Gorejena, Chimalizeni had three wins, all of the identical 1-0 victories over Ali Sundowns, FC Oden and Chegutu Pirates.
As the league took a well-deserved break, The Eagles sat tied on nine points with Agama FC in the month of July, but Gorejena’s side held a significant advantage on goal aggregate, having scored seven goals while conceding just one.
In contrast, Agama managed to score only three goals, leaving Gorejena and his team flying high in pursuit of the July gong.
The Eagles kicked off the month in style with a 2-0 away win against Ngezi U19, followed by a convincing 2-0 dismissal of Pam FC.
They rounded off the month with a 3-1 thumping of Harare City.
Zambezi G&C’s Anesu Jaravaza emerged the Supafix Player of the Month, while the goalkeeper of the month award was won by Alla Brown.

Meanwhile, NRSL action resumed yesterday with two matches, featuring Shamva Mine hosting Pam FC at Shamva Mine Stadium and N’ombeyaora taking on Ngezi U19 at The Heart Stadium in Waterfalls, Harare.
The excitement continues this afternoon, with Golden Eagles hosting Harare City in a highly-anticipated back-to-back fixture at Ellis Robins High School in Mabelreign.
The Eagles will be looking to continue their winning streak, while City Cubs aim to atone for their first-round defeat.
