PSL summons Hardrock and Dynamos Over Chahwanda Violence

The Premier Soccer League has issued disciplinary summons to both Hardrock FC and Dynamos FC following the shocking crowd violence that forced the abandonment of their Castle Lager Premier Soccer League Matchday 14 fixture at Chahwanda Stadium on May 24, 2026.

Hardrock FC Chief Executive Officer Kudzanai Hove also facing individual charges in what amounts to one of the most serious disciplinary actions in recent Zimbabwean football history.

Both clubs have been charged with breaching PSL rules and regulations, specifically accused of causing the abandonment of the match, disturbing normal match proceedings, pitch invasion, acts of violence and malicious damage to property, a damning catalogue of offences that threatens to have severe consequences for both clubs.

Hardrock FC face the additional and deeply concerning charge of failing to provide adequate security for the match, a charge that strikes at the heart of their responsibilities as the home club and one that could carry particularly heavy sanctions.

Most dramatically, Hardrock FC CEO Kudzanai Hove has been individually charged with disorderly conduct, pitch invasion and violent behaviour, extraordinary charges against a senior club official that will send shockwaves through Zimbabwean football administration.

Both clubs and the CEO must appear before the PSL Disciplinary Committee at the Premier Soccer League offices on June 9, 2026 at 1730 hours.

The charges follow Dynamos' own public condemnation of the violence last week, in which the Glamour Boys pledged full cooperation with authorities.
