In a report by the BBC, the major change was announced at the company’s annual Max Conference where it was indicated that the new model would be applicable to all softwares part of the Creative suit including the most popular ones like Dreamweaver, Photoshop and Illustrator, etc.

Earlier, the upgrade cycle was that of 18-24 months. Post the application of the new model the standalone versions will still be available but their new features or enhancements will not be provided, the report said.

In a research conducted by Adobe, there are 500,000 subscribers for the Creative Cloud. This indicated towards the implementation of the new model that requires the subscribers to pay on monthly basis.

According to the reports, those who sign up before May 31 will be able to avail discount.
