Stanley Dube (24) appeared before Bulawayo magistrate on Friday facing an attempted murder charge as defined under Section 189 of the Criminal Law (Codification and Reform) Act Chapter and Section 47 of the same Act.

Prosecutor Marlvin Nzombe told the court that the complainant, Isaiah Moyo, went to Masuku shopping centre in Inyathi on May 31 with an intention to collect his memory card from the accused.

“Moyo demanded his memory card from the accused and he told him that he was going to give him after hours since he was using it to play music on the radio. Moyo then insulted the accused who then produced a knife and stabbed him on the neck, head and back,” he said.

He said the complainant sustained serious injuries as a result of the attack. Mtetwa remanded Dube in custody to May 20 for sentence.
