AMAKHOSI Cultural Centre will today host Milton High School and Gifford High School drama clubs as the main acts at an event dubbed “Plays on Sunday”.

REPORT BY OWN CORRESPONDENT.

The two schools will showcase their plays on theme title Too young to Marry starting from 4pm.

Mlamuli Moyo, one of the organisers of the show said the plays will be 45 minutes and 20 minutes long respectively.

“After the schools have performed the audience will be given a time to critique the plays, an initiative to make the actors, directors, producers and writers better and also to add value into their plays,” he said.

Moyo urged the public to attend the event, which is free of charge and support local talent.

“People should come to support local talent and learn about their culture and where they come from because if you do not know where you come from you will not know where you are headed to,” he said

“Plays on Sunday” have been hosted every Sunday at Amakhosi cultural centre since December last year.

Moyo also urged upcoming and established artistes to feel free to use the platform.

The event has also seen acts from different performers such as Thulani Mbabo, Perfect Theatre from Gweru, Ziya Cultural Theatre Club who performed the popular Sabhuku Vharai Zipi, Founders High School and many others taking part.
