BULAWAYO leading jazz artiste Majahawodwa Ndlovu, aka Jeys Marabini, will provide the main act at the Gwanda Agricultural Show slated for August 8 to 10.
Percy Vela, the organiser of the event, said this year’s edition of the agricultural show will be filled with entertainment, as different arts groups have been invited to showcase their talents.
Jeys said he was naturally happy to be invited to headline the entertainment list at the show in Matabeleland South, declaring that he would put up a sterling performance on the day.
“As artistes in Matabeleland, it is a mandate to perform at our own functions. It is important for us as artistes in the southern region to support our activities like what our counterparts are doing in the northern region,” he said.
Jeys also said it was important for local artistes to support whatever activity that is conducted in the region so that they could market their works of art.
“It is also important for these up-and-coming artistes to take part in big events where there will be a lot people because this helps them to market their products and grow within the arts sector,” Jeys added.
