POPULAR Nigerian prophet TB Joshua was yesterday forced to deny reports that he had prophesised that Prime Minister Morgan Tsvangirai will win Wednesday’s elections.

Social networks last week were awash with reports claiming the prophet predicted that Tsvangirai would trounce President Robert Mugabe in the polls. But TB Joshua’s Synagogue, Church of All Nations (Scoan) in a message posted on its Facebook page said no such prophesy had ever been made.
“This is an official message from the Scoan,” the church wrote. “There are false rumours and articles spreading on the Internet that Prophet TB Joshua prophesied concerning the Zimbabwean election.
“This is false. Prophet TB Joshua did not prophesy anything regarding the presidential election in Zimbabwe,” it added.
“If there is any message concerning the citizenry of Zimbabwe, it will be officially broadcast on Emmanuel TV and on our official websites, www.scoan.org and www.emmanuel.tv.
“Beware of false rumours. Don’t listen to the father of lies, the sons of lies and the daughters of lies.”
TB Joshua was blocked from visiting Zimbabwe last year by the Zanu PF side of the inclusive government. He had predicted the death of a long-serving African leader.
Zanu PF accused Tsvangirai of inviting the prophet to enhance his chances of toppling Mugabe from power.
