The 11-track album is expected to be available in Zimbabwe in the first week of September. The album, recorded in Zimbabwe, was sent to Austria for mastering and mixing. Jeys told Southern Eye Lifestyle that he had been communicating with producers and they had finished working on it.

“I have been communicating with my producers and they informed me that they have completed mastering and mixing the album. They told me that the album will be released next week in Austria. After that they will start working on modalities of how the album will be sent to me,” he said.

Jeys added that the new album will be encrypted to prevent piracy. “I am glad that my album has an encryption key and those who are reproducing our works and selling them for a $1 will not be able to do so,” Marabini added.

Jeys clinched the recording deal last year when he toured Austria. He said he was happy that his tour to Austria opened a lot of opportunities for him.

Jeys’ last album was recorded in South Africa in 2011 and was released in 2012. The album featured renowned artistes from South Africa such as Nana Coyote, previously with Stimela, and Zimbabwe’s Ndatshi Mkhize of Mahlathini and Mahotela Queens group.

Jeys’ musical career dates back from the 1990s’ when he was singing imbube before changing to Afro-jazz. Over the past years, he has performed alongside big names such as Ringo Madlingozi and Judith Sephuma.

Marabini has six albums under his name and these include Sisemarabini and Izenzo, among others.
