The luncheon, to be held under the theme “Reach your Full Potential”, will be held at the Holiday Inn in Bulawayo.

In a statement, organisers said the event was meant to honour secretaries, personal assistants (PAs), senior receptionists, executive assistants, administrative professionals and support staff from all sectors, for being the heartbeat of offices and to urge them to increase their value.

Total Eclipse Events in partnership with Recruitment Solutions, an employment agency, will present a floating trophy to the Secretary of the Year.

“This would be the top award for the office heroines, who endeavour to keep executives effective and focused on leading their companies and organisations to success,” the statement reads.

“In essence, it aims to find and recognise excellence and effectiveness in the secretarial profession and provides an opportunity for the top PAs and secretaries to be visible and rewarded.

“It’s creating a new role model for secretaries at the top of the career ladder.” Captains of industry are encouraged to nominate their PAs and secretaries for the coveted annual award.

Recruitment Solutions will rigorously assess each entry with the winner being announced at a luncheon.

Soneni Gwizi, a United Nations World Tourism Organisation brand ambassador and Zandile Ndlovu, a brand strategist, will be the main speakers at the luncheon. “These are power house women and have made tremendous strides in their careers — personally and professionally,” the statement continues.

“The luncheon has an exceptional programme designed to bring a balance in a secretary’s life and work, with sessions packed with professional skills, personal knowledge and confidence enrichment.

“Style Avenue, a grooming and deportment concept, will be presented by Edgars, unraveling the latest corporate fashion trends.

“A charity raffle will be conducted and four lucky secretaries will walk away with exciting prizes.”
