Zimbabwean originated Insingizi and Iyasa together performed on Saturday evening at the Dschungel.

Their melodic a cappella voices and dance filled the venue with an African ambience.

Drumming, singing and dance seem to draw a bigger audience into the venue at the Dschungel. I suppose the best part about attending their events, is that one always feels included because there is so much interaction with the audience.

They are also always a good reminder of how music really brings everyone together back in Africa and how it does the same in Vienna.

I must say that some might have been taken aback by the dancing because Iyasa has moves that make your jaw drop.

Insingizi’s harmonic voices are always such a pleasure to listen to. It really was one of those exciting moments one has had, after a very long time.

There are funny aspects about their performances as well, the lyrics of one particular song performed by the Ottakringer Boys, I Love You Beer about their love and passion for beer was extremely hilarious.

I think this might have been the highlight of the show because everyone seems to have sung along and meant every word. It felt like a night under African skies, really was loads of fun.
