MATABELELAND South Zanu PF deputy spokesperson Jabulani Phetshu Sibanda has said his party will rule forever as it is the one that liberated Zimbabwe.

Sibanda yesterday said Zimbabwe would collapse if any other party came to power.
“Zanu PF wants to rule forever,” said Sibanda.
“It is the only party that liberated Zimbabwe and if we give power to a party which doesn’t know the importance of liberation, the party will drag this country into the mud. We want to rule forever.”
Sibanda said President Robert Mugabe’s move requiring all Zanu PF MPs to submit progress reports to his office after every three months will ensure that they work for the betterment of their constituencies.
“This time the president wants all MPs to work and do what people who voted for the party want. We also want our councillors to show us what they are doing in their wards,” Sibanda said.
He said unlike other provinces where factionalism has taken root, Zanu PF in Matabeleland South was united and all members backed the current leadership.

“In Matabeleland South we are united. Have you ever heard of factionalism which you people report about in other parts of the country?
“We don’t have what we hear reported that there is a faction for Vice-President Joice Mujuru or a faction for (Justice minister) Emmerson Mnangagwa,” he said.
