President Robert Mugabe capped 2 002 graduates at the National University of Science and Technology (Nust) in a ceremony held at the university campus in Bulawayo on Friday.

The 19th Nust graduation ceremony saw the conferment of degrees to graduates from the faculties of Applied Sciences, Commerce, Communication and Information Science and Industrial Technology.
Five programmes had new students graduating for the first time.
Nust vice-chancellor Professor Lindela Ndlovu said the university is moving with times and currently conducting research on climate change and its impact on the livelihoods of people, which contributes directly to the first cluster on food security and nutrition.

Ndlovu also said Nust has embarked on situating research packaging and repacking knowledge in the context of the newly-approved Zimbabwe Agenda for Sustainable Socio-economic Transformation.
