Mampi is set to perform in Harare on December 20 while the following day she will serenade the City of Kings at the Bulawayo Amphitheatre.

She will then take her act to the resort town of Victoria Falls on Christmas Eve at Chinotimba Stadium.

The shows are being organised by Da Flame Restaurant.

John Kafuta, organiser, told Southern Eye Lifestyle yesterday: “Mampi is coming to Bulawayo as part of the many shows we have lined up for the festive season. We promise a top of the drawer performance from the singer.”

The Walilowelela hit-maker will be supported by her former BBA housemate Rockford Josphat, popularly known as Roki, and local musican Gregory Ncube.

Kafuta urged fans to come in their numbers for the three performances.

“I encourage all music fans and fun lovers to come and witness the best of pop from Mampi and also from her counterpart Roki,” Kafuta added.

Nicknamed “Thunder Thighs”, Mampi has staged live performances with Roki before and their last duet was at Harare International Festival of the Arts in April.

Last year they collaborated on a song, Go Crazy, which topped the local charts for several weeks.

Mampi stole Africa’s hearts during her stint on the reality show BBA house with her dance moves and the show opened new doors for her outside Zambia.

The Zambian musician fuses kwaito, reggae with her favourite R&B.

Her 2005 debut album Malozi made her a household name in Zambia. The chart-topping hit song Walilowelela has been a favourite of many Zimbabweans at weddings and parties.
