A BULAWAYO man Temba Zulu (41) from Old Pumula is feared dead after going missing under unclear circumstances for close to two weeks.

Zulu (41) was one of many people illegally panning gold at the disused Hope Fountain Mine and his father fears that he could have fallen into one of the shafts.
Zulu is said to have left home headed for Hope Fountain and his colleagues confirmed that he arrived, but claim he left shortly after arriving indicating that he was hungry and was going back home to cook.
His father Aleck Zulu said the family had been searching for him since he had not returned home and they now feared for the worst. The older Zulu said they have searched the bushy area where his son was last seen, in vain.
“We have been looking for him, but our efforts seem to be in vain. We reported the matter at Hillside Police Station and they said they would inform me if they found anything pertaining to my son,” the visibly distraught Zulu said.
He also said he had visited various prisons doted around the city and prison officials had informed him that there was no one fitting his son’s description.
“I have moved around different prisons. They told me that there was no one of that sort so I am really worried about my son because it’s a mystery how an old man could get lost,” Zulu said.
