Although he did not score on his first game for Bosso on Sunday in the Bob 90 Super Cup, the nimble-footed Warriors’ sensation said he had a good game against Harare City.

“We started slow in the match, but I think I had a good game. Highlanders are a big club that made me when I played for the juniors and I want to make sure that before I go to South Africa, I leave them in a good position to win the league this year,” Mahachi said.

Highlanders beat Harare City 2-1 at Barbourfields Stadium on Sunday with goals coming from Peter “Rio” Moyo and Milton Ncube while the Sunshine City Boys scored through Misheck Mburayi.

It was Mahachi’s first game for Highlanders since he started training with the Bulawayo giants last Thursday and in the 90 minutes that he played, he gave the City defenders a torrid time and a number of his attempts at goal saved by goalkeeper Nomore John.

His next possible game with Highlanders could be when he plays in the final of the Bob 90 Super Cup final against Dynamos in Harare at a date to be confirmed.

Mahachi, Ncube and Charles Sibanda gave the Harare City defenders, especially David Kutyauripo a hard time as they switched play, all coming from midfield as assistant coach Mark Mathe started off with a congested midfield before he introduced speedy Gabriel Nyoni and Valentine Ndaba.

Of the new players that have signed for Bosso, only Mahachi, Sibanda, Ndaba, Welcome Ndiweni and Mkhululi Dube played in yesterday’s game while Felix Chindungwe and Joel Ngodzo sat on the bench.

Harare City also played a good game, but their biggest acquisition, Francisco Zekumbawira, was not part of the team.

Martin Vengesai, Mburayi, Nathan Ziwini and substitutes Crybert Muvuti and Talent Chawapuhwa had a good game with head coach Bigboy Mawiwi saying he has a solid team that is ready to compete in the 2014 season.
