The project is set to run from March to April 2014 and is envisaged to reach out to approximately 3 000 teenage girls.

The project being sponsored by Datlabs (Pvt) Ltd Zimbabwe is targeting young girls in secondary and high schools through power-packed two-hour free seminars.

In an exclusive interview, with Southern Eye Lifestyle Ncube said: “The project aims to inspire girls to have the voice, ability and problem-solving capacity. They have to speak up, be decision makers, create visionary change and realise their full potential.

“I love people and am interested in the spaces in which they are found. It has always been my dream to be involved in changing mindsets, changing behaviour and changing lifestyles; to be pivotal in the creation of a generation that is self-aware, that is interested in the wellbeing not only of ourselves, but our environment.”

Ncube has numerous achievements. She is a director at Zana’kay Lifestyle Consultancy, an architectural designer, lifestyle and fashion model, writer/blogger (her inspiring blog currently boasts of 101 000 hits), poet, motivational speaker, image and grooming consultant.

She was nominated among Zimbabwe’s top ten innovative young leaders — Imagine Africa Zimbabwe 2008 (Search for young leaders to champion fight against HIV and Aids).

“From the discussions teens discover what really matters to them. They will be empowered with the knowledge of how to carry themselves as dignified women and leaders of tomorrow. The premise that extraordinary women are made from the support of other women,” she said.
