The competition, which has been organised by the Matabaleland Rugby Football Board (MRFB), will feature Western Panthers, Old Miltonians, Busters, Bulldogs and the Midlands’ sides Gweru Sports Club, Midlands State University and Zvishavane Bulls.

Ruben Kumpasa, the MRFB spokesperson confirmed the tournament, which he said was to give rugby’s loyal supporters a treat as they celebrate independence.

Adults will pay $2 to watch the games while children will pay $1 with those spectators with vehicles going into the stadium paying $1.
