A DARING knife-wielding robber allegedly accosted three women and took them to a secluded place with an accomplice still at large before raping one of them in front of her companions.

This was heard when Mhlaseli Ngcobo (34) appeared before Western Commonage Court magistrate Temba Chimiso last week facing a rape charge.
Ngcobo was remanded in custody to May 14.
The court heard that on April 17 at around 11pm, a 20-year-old woman from Cowdray Park and two other women were headed to the Entumbane complex where her husband was attending a church service when they saw Ngcobo and his accomplice following them.
When they were close to Entumbane complex next to a stream, Ngcobo and his accomplice ordered them to sit down at knife point.
Ngcobo allegedly searched the alleged rape victim before ordering her to undress and lie down on her back and he raped her without protection while her companions watched.
The two then fled from the scene and the women reported the matter to the police, resulting in Ngcobo’s arrest.
