POY is scheduled to perform this Saturday at Club Forty-40 at a show dubbed “POY Live in the evening”.

The Yebbo and Dirty Game hitmaker said he was excited about the show, the first for local hip-hop and the club.

“Bulawayo will come alive this Saturday with the sound of hip-hop. For the first time a local prime time night spot will host a show of that nature and I see this show bringing great excitement to local fun lovers.

“For a long time local promoters and clubs have brought in South African and Harare performers, this time it’s different — a local act will entertain locals,” he said.

POY is currently riding high with his recent release, Dirty Game, which features reggae chanter Spinx, real name Leeroy Brittain, doing well on ZI FM’s Bulawayo top 10 charts.

The artist will be supported by other local musicians such as Black Lips, MC Da Nev, Young Stan, CaL Vin, Mzoe 7 and Upper Klass.

Resident disc jockeys that will also entertain the fans include DJ Ash T, Mzoe, Fritz and Humble Kid.

The 1980-born POY did high school at Plumtree High school. He won the people’s choice award at the first Zimbabwe Hip-hop awards in 2011.

He was nominated for best male and best promoter at last year’s edition.
