The exhibition is set to run from July 23 to 25.

The Zimbabwe International Trade Fair (ZITF) Company yesterday said the three-day exhibition to be held at the Zimbabwe International Exhibition Centre next month would focus on how innovative technologies and ideas could be used to beneficiate mineral resources to achieve national economic growth and prosperity.

“The show has so far attracted over 100 exhibitors with 3 500 square metres of exhibition space booked,” ZITF general manager Noma Ndlovu told journalists.

“International interest is high as foreign nations, represented by 21 companies, have so far confirmed participation namely; Belgium, Botswana, China, Germany and South Africa.”

Ndlovu said the exhibition would promote supporting sectors in order to provide a total solution to the industry. She said some of the services on show would include banking, security, insurance, customs clearing, medical and chemical supplies.

She encouraged more exhibitors to register as space was still available.

“Space is still available and ZITF is encouraging exhibitors who have not yet taken up stands to do so before the early booking discount offer expires on June 30,” she said.

Ndlovu said small-scale miners and representatives from women in mining had shown interest in participating at the exhibition.

The building and construction equipment exhibits introduced last year would be a prominent feature as well as protective clothing and other safety products.

The exhibition would be held under the theme “Innovation, Beneficiation and Growth”.

ZITF intends to hold a Mine-Entra Conference in conjunction with the Chamber of Mines Zimbabwe to focus on policy initiatives around mineral beneficiation and economic growth.

It would also hold Joint Suppliers and Purchasers’ Conferences to add value to Mine-Entra participants and to update all stakeholders on the state of the mining industry in Zimbabwe
