The track — co-produced by the two deejays — features dancehall chanters Dennis Simbarashe Mrewa, aka Lewaz Skattah, and Witon Doba, aka Legion.

Lewaz Skattah spoke highly of the track and the launch in an interview with Southern Eye Lifestyle.

“The song fuses culture, house, dancehall and hip-hop and once you have producers like Oskid and Tamuka you will never run out of ideas and inspiration,” Lewaz Skattah said.

“The two producers started creating the beat and the next thing we needed a party tune. I give much credit to the two. They are the core of this project.”

Tipeiwo Hwahwa is more like a remake of an old traditional shona party song and talks of partying, boozing and having a good time in a responsible manner.

“There is one thing that every party in the world has in common; that is beer. I have always been a strict reggae and dancehall artiste without compromise, but I felt that song and gave it a shot and in a week’s time it was already viral in Gweru,” he added.

The group has promised nothing but fireworks on the night.

“We promise energetic performances which will be supported by a live band. Party lovers should come in their numbers. It’s going to be a night to remember,” Lewaz Skattah said.

The track Tipeiwo Hwahwa has been rocking the Midlands for weeks, including night joints and this could be the right time to take it outside Gweru.
