AMBASSADOR Kotsho Lloyd Dube, who passed away on Monday, has been declared a national hero, Matabeleland South Provincial Affairs minister Abednico Ncube confirmed yesterday.
“He will be buried on Sunday at the National Heroes’ Acre,” Ncube said in a telephone interview.
Ncube, however, said he did not “have much finer details regarding the funeral arrangements”.
Dube, a Zanu PF central committee member, died on Monday morning at his Khumalo home in Bulawayo.
Zanu PF national chairman Simon Khaya Moyo described Dube as a veteran of the liberation war and a focused revolutionary.
He was 79.
He is survived by his wife, three children and three grandchildren.
