The Region 5 Games track and field events get underway today at White City Stadium after they were postponed on Monday to make some finishing touches on the venue.
Zimbabwe men’s football could be making it to the semi-finals this afternoon if they beat Angola at Barbourfields Stadium after edging Swaziland 3-1 on Tuesday at Luveve.
After an embarrassing 0-5 drubbing by South Africa the Young Mighty Warriors clash with Botswana at Luveve at 4.30pm.
In Tennis, all the four Zimbabweans, men’s top seed Ronzai Saurombe, Tameredzwa Mariga and women Valeria Bhunu and Rufaro Chireva play in the semi-finals at BAC.
The doubles tournament also starts today with the women Bhunu and Chireva taking on Winnie Kadamanj and Zione Mkhoma of Malawi.
In basketball today, Zimbabwe men take on Swaziland this morning while the women are in for a tough one against favourites Angola.
